2014 Employee of the Year

Osen-Hunter’s Employee of the Year Award is the company’s highest level of recognition. It is awarded only to those employees who have demonstrated truly exceptional performance and made substantive contributions toward advancing the goals and mission of the company.

As the recipient of the 2014 Employee of the Year Award, Shannon Wilson exemplifies the above qualities and more.

In April 2012, Shannon was hired as an Administrative Assistant working on the Raven Program and assisting with Osen-Defense Systems. In both capacities, she did outstanding work. As Osen-Hunter grew in some sectors and slowed in others, Shannon proved flexible and rose to the challenge of joining OHG’s newly acquired company, renamed Osen-Hunter Innovative Technologies. She took on many new tasks, and learned skills above and beyond what was expected in a new and unfamiliar environment.

Her supervisors soon recognized Shannon’s ability to identify and implement solutions as problems arise. Shannon was promoted to Operations Production Administrator in 2014. This position requires efficient production management and forethought in processing orders and parts. With an inventory of over $2 million under her control, Shannon now manages schedules and workflow for Osen-Hunter in the home office and in Virginia Beach.

Shannon is a team player and role model within our organization. She consistently maintains a positive, professional attitude in all her interactions with both internal and external personnel. She possesses superior problem-solving skills and a determined work ethic. She has a keen eye for detail and is a proven multitasker. For these reasons, Shannon is a key member not only of the OIT team, but of the entire Osen-Hunter family.
